It is from the hand of the famous and prestigious master goldsmith Jean-Baptiste-Claude Odiot (1763-1850), son, grandson and father of a goldsmith, he is without a doubt the most famous member of this dynasty of Parisian goldsmiths. After the restoration of the Bourbons, he continued his commercial success by supplying to more or less all the crowned heads of Europe. The teapot is engraved with a coat of arms of alliance topped with a crown. The coat of arms of the wife who was a member of the Jehannot d'Huriel de Bartillat family, Marquis d'Huriel et de Bartillat are present.
