"Paddle, Sepik River, Papua New Guinea, Oceanic Art, Tribal Art, Oceania"
Very beautiful patina of use for this tall perch paddle collected on the banks of the Sepik River in Papua New Guinea. The perch paddle is mainly used to push the canoe through the sometimes cluttered meanders of the Sepik River. This curved shape of the blade prevents the end from getting stuck in the mud. Wood and paint remnants. Sold with a base. Approx. 235 x 15 cm / €380 base and shipping included.
