Very beautiful pair of watercolors representing two young women in traditional Italian dress. The details of the costumes are meticulous and the colors particularly vivid. A different note in pencil under each portrait, under the young woman in red it is indicated Nettunense followed by Vestido di Festa (evening dress or festive clothing). The young woman in green bears the indication Cioriara. Louis-Philippe gilt frame with period glass. Work done around 1840. These drawings come from a collection partially dated 1841 to 1844 that we will gradually put up for sale. Please note: these paintings are in good general condition. Ink stains at the bottom right of each young girl, slight lack of gilding on the frames. Please look at the photos carefully.
