Watercolor "Reclining Nude" by Pierre Vallet, signed lower left, in a wooden and gilded stucco frame. Dimensions of the watercolor 31.5x48 cm. Total dimensions, with frame, 53x69 cm. PIERRE VALLET born in Melun in 1884, died in 1971, student at the École des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, then drawing teacher in a college in Paris. Between 1919 and 1950, Pierre Vallet attended the Académie de la Grande Chaumière in Paris and became a massier in the studio of Charles Picart-le-Doux (1881-1959). He painted mainly figures, portraits, nudes, but also landscapes and urban views in gouache and watercolor.
