"2 Views Of 19th Century Architecture"
Two oils on pine panel depicting architecture. Italian work from the mid-19th century. One of the two paintings bears the monogram LP. Work for the Grand Tour. The almost ghostly atmosphere evokes in some aspects both Monsu Desiderio and de Chirico. The extraordinary blue is almost unreal. The two paintings each measure 32 cm X 23 cm. The frames are different and measure 37 X 28 cm and 39 X 31.5 cm. Good used condition. Some slight losses concerning the pictorial layer.
