SI KIANG is a perfect example of the “Old Marseille” decorations found on earthenware services made in the south of France in the 18th century. Chinese-inspired decorations were then fashionable and reflected the fascination of Europeans for the Orient and its influence on the Decorative Arts. A great lover of antiques, André Raynaud acquired an earthenware plate in 1974, admiring the designs and decided to transpose them onto his delicate, fine and transparent porcelain, allowing a perfect and vibrant rendering of the designs and colors. This service offers six scenes originals, present on all the plates and cups, representing bucolic pictures of fishermen in the middle of exotic nature. Foliage and birds punctuate the wings of the plates, the border of which is adorned with an elegant green combed. Raynaud today re-enchants this emblematic decoration of the House on "Argent", a scalloped shape from the 18th century, to better ennoble it.
