"Allegoria Dell'autunno '600"
Painting, oil on canvas, measuring 93 x 118 cm without frame and 105 x 130 cm with frame, depicting an allegory of autumn in the style of Gerolamo Bassano ( Bassano del Grappa 1566 - 1621 ).The canvas depicts an old bearded shepherd and a young man busy shearing five white sheep, a young woman with a dog distributing food to a mother and child with a wooden ladle, while in the background a reaper with helpers is starting to gather sheaves on an oxen-drawn cart.
The landscape setting is very intriguing and together with these warm colours we find a sense of belonging to nature and love for everyday life that gives the viewer serenity and peace.
The paintings and works of art published here are my exclusive property and therefore are always available to be viewed, by appointment, in my exhibition sites located in Sanremo and Brescia.
