Lithograph On China Paper By Henri Rivière The Fortifications

This lithograph “Paysages Parisiens - Les Fortifications” is signed Henri Rivière and bears a red stamp in the lower right corner. The work is authentic and old, it is a rare print on China paper, published and printed by Eugène Verneau. For the condition, note in the margin small stains, ink lines, small tears and slight traces of folding. On the litho, we report small stains in places. Sold as presented. Henri Rivière (1864-1951) is a French painter, engraver and illustrator. He began his career with drawing and then with intaglio engraving, specifically etching in 1882. At the same time, he began a career as a director and scenographer in 1886, from the shadow theater to the Chat Noir cabaret, shows that he improved by creating very innovative color sets. He then devoted himself exclusively to painting and engraving and established himself in the history of etching, printmaking, woodcuts, lithography and watercolor (he painted around a thousand watercolors).
