"19th Century: A Pair Of Napoleon III Armchairs"
19th century, Napoleon III period: a pair of low armchairs in molded, carved and gilded wood with openwork backs, all resting on two saber legs at the back and two arched legs ending in casters at the front. The seat is covered with its original tapestry, embroidered with flowers on a red background. The braids and reinforcing fabrics under the seats are new. Wear to the gilding as seen in the photos. Perfect stability of the armchairs although one imagines them intended more for decoration than for use. Dimensions: - height: 67 centimeters - seat height: 35 centimeters - depth: approximately 50 centimeters - width: approximately 51 centimeters
