"Pair Of Wedgwood Trophy Vases"
A pair of Wedgwood Trophy vases in dark blue jasper, of exceptional quality. They bear the mark "WEDGWOOD ENGLAND" and date from around the 20th century. This type of vase was known as a "Trophy vase" because it always had reliefs on the neck depicting hanging trophies, whether military or related to music and the arts. The body of the vases is decorated with reliefs depicting the Muses and various foliate borders. All the reliefs are of very good quality and the jasper has a beautiful and rich shade of blue. Note: one handle of one vase has been reglued. Height 20 cm
