Very rare radassier in fruit wood with spindles, Directoire period, Provence origin. Superb 3-seater radassier with 8 saber legs connected by turned and ringed wooden bars. The front is curved. The armrests end with a turned spindle. The backrest is reversed with 1 wide band serving as an armrest decorated with 7 intercalary spindles. This bench is very rare on the market because it required great cabinetmaking skill. Solid seat in good condition. Some usual restorations. It could once have been used as an extra bed for a person passing through or for a servant. The radassier is covered with a floral jacquard fabric in very good condition and has a large, very thick wool cushion. Length: 182 cm, Height: 96 cm, Depth: 67 cm. Seat height: 47 cm, Depth: 53 cm.
