"Wooden Statuette, Saint Figure, 17th Century."

Beautiful carved wooden statue, in very good condition, representing a young monk, wearing a mantelet, mid-length, wavy hair. Belt tied at the waist. With both hands, he pushes aside the opening of his small cape. A sort of crumpled cloth appears through this opening. I don't know who this saint is....'Beautiful, fine, smiling face, tonsure on the head and a small hole on which a halo was certainly fixed. He rests on a terrace attached to the statue. France, 17th century.
