"Lombard Chest Of Drawers In Blackened And Inlaid Wood, Late 17th Century"
Rare Lombard chest of drawers in ebonized wood inlaid and threaded in bone, characterized by guilochè frames. Front with three drawers each of which is affected by inlays with geometric motifs in the shape of stars, an inlay with a geometric motif is also present on the sides. Base with carved bracket feet and overhanging cornice. Original bronze handles created in lost wax casting, complete with original locks and key. The precious key depicting a winged lion moves the provenance to the Lombard-Venetian area. It is in excellent state of conservation.
Diagnostic report that documents the use of bone for the creation of the inlay.
