Senate Square in winter in Saint PETERSBURG (Russia), depicting the Troika and the equestrian statue of Peter the Great. Wash by Aguste ALLONGE (born March 19, 1833 in Paris and died July 4, 1898). Auguste Allongé attended the Imperial School of Fine Arts in Paris from 1852. He was a student there of Léon Cogniet and Ducornet. He received a medal in 1853.
