"Pair Of Lacquered Wood Panels. Vietnam, 19th Century."
The two panels are identical. One of the two has been mutilated at both ends. A decoration of dragons and turtles is carved with the greatest care then lacquered in red and partially gilded. The carvings are of unusually good quality, which is rare on this type of panel. Made in Vietnam or southern China in the 19th century. Dimensions: One panel 170x21cm, the other 160x21cm. Only the dragon's head in the center is very thick. Good condition, some wood splintering and wear. Visible in the photos.
