"Coffee Table - Art Deco - Amboyna Wood - France - 20th Century "
Rectangular Art Deco coffee table, made of amboyna burl with superb flamed marquetry. A refined silhouette rests on curved legs, giving the whole a visual lightness typical of the Art Deco movement. The top is highlighted by an inlaid ivory fillet, adding a precious and subtly contrasting touch to the richness of the wood. The quality of manufacture, the choice of noble materials and the perfect symmetry of the lines reflect the artisanal demands of the time. A stamp dated 1921 probably from a Parisian workshop, consistent with the engraved mention "A. WATTE 1921 N° 486 PARIS". In the style of Jean-Michel Frank, known for his minimalist creations and his tables covered with shagreen in the 1930s. This piece is fully in line with this sober and luxurious aesthetic.
