This very rare copy in full bright red morocco (Cape goat), in folio format, ribbed spine decorated with remarkable gilded irons in the boxes, gilded title, covers with triple gilded fillets, interior friezes, marbled guards, edges gilded with bright gold. A masterpiece, this beautiful copy having belonged (ex-libris) to Monsieur Roman, a work coming from his Library. Work dedicated to Monseigneur the Dauphin for this beautiful "Bible called Sacy"; The History of the Old and New Testaments, represented with edifying Figures and Explanations, taken from the Holy Fathers, to regulate morals in all sorts of conditions.
