"Pair Of Two George Sand Enameled Glass Bottles "
These two blue glass bottles are enameled with small flower seeds, the stoppers are amber, a color harmony that we owe to George Sand who had ordered a glass service in these colors from the Portieux factory in the 19th century. The house found it very pretty and asked the writer for permission to market this style, the success was immediate. Since then, it has become a bit of a Portieux signature and many different creations around this color theme were made like these two bottles here that can be dated to the end of the 19th century.
