Elegant pair of carved and lacquered wooden bergères with a wide medallion back. Four stepped crosspieces join rare octagonal legs with rudentée fluting. Upholstery redone in white (in this case small blue squares) which can either be left visible or covered with a final fabric. Provence, circa 1780. Seats attributed to the Nîmes carpenter Pierre Nicolas PILLOT.
