"Cardboard Box "au Bon Marché" Paris From Its Fur Counter"
Like a hat box with a lid tied with a ribbon, here is a pretty survivor from the 19th century in cardboard from the Parisian department store Au Bon Marché. All green with a pink interior, this cardboard still has its intact label representing an engraving of the department store accompanied by the following inscriptions:
Au Bon Marché - Maison A Boucicaut - Paris Nouveautés - Comptoir de Fourrures
This box also had another life which was that of receiving bolts as it is marked on the lid and of which we can see traces of an inscription in blue pencil.
