This silk twill square with hand-rolled edges is available on a "fresh butter" colored background. This beautiful scarf features objects from either the Hermès Museum or the Maritime Museum, including: Second Empire harnesses, 18th century saddle covers, rudders, postilion boots, lanterns, sabers, steamboats, etc. Illustrated by Philippe Ledoux in 1962, it was reissued in 1992 and 1997 and remains sought after by collectors and lovers of vintage squares. It still bears its manufacturing label: 100% silk, made in France. Dimensions 90 x 89 cm. The signature of the house "Hermès Paris" appears at the bottom left, and the name of the illustrator at the bottom right. The title "Musée" is centered in the rudder and the copyright is discovered at the top right in the border. The supple and soft silk is a marker of its antiquity.
