An excellent quality and condition profile bust portrait of the Earl of Mornington, elder brother of Arthur Wellesley, Duke of Wellington. Wellesley-Pole was a popular figure of the time and widely considered to be the real-life influence on Jane Austen's character of Mr. Darcy in Pride and Prejudice.
