"Signed Marine Painting From The 1940s"
Superb oil painting depicting a harbor scene with a fisherman in the foreground holding a fish, and a second figure in the background, in a calm and nostalgic atmosphere. In the background, moored boats reinforce the marine atmosphere of the painting. The work is signed lower right: André Baroïls. The earthy color palette, textured style and composition suggest a 20th century work, possibly from the 1940s-50s. The material technique and visible touches give a strong expressiveness to this scene of daily life.
