Authentic Pair of Louis XV period gilt bronze candlesticks, 18th century. Admire this beautiful pair of gilt bronze candlesticks, a true testament to the Louis XV period (circa 1760). Their design reveals a round base with several levels of moldings and slight projections, topped by a bell-shaped terrace enriched with a beaded outline and moldings. A majestic central baluster shaft with shower foot, decorated with connecting rings, supports a molded and beaded cylindrical socket, accompanied by its removable bobeche with hollow basin and beaded edge. The screw-mounted construction is typical of the period. Their precious mercury gilding is original and bears the marks of time, giving these objects an undeniable authenticity.
