Statue representing the Venus De Milo, Plaster sculpture of beautiful height. The original sculpture (Louvre Museum. 130-120 BC) was discovered on the island of Milos in 1820 and is a piece carved in the 2nd century BC, based on an original from the Athenian school of Praxiteles of the 5th century BC. It is considered the prototype of the image of beauty of the classical world.
