Cj Vander: Rare Large Sterling Silver Gilt Stag Hunt Rice Serving Spoon

Spectacular and heavy Rice Serving Spoon entirely in Vermeil (Gold on Silver),  this Regency style pattern called STAG HUNT originally crafted by Paul Storr. On one side we find the attributes of the Hunt (with quiver and its arrows, Hunting Horn and saber) at the level of the spoon attachment a fabulous Mascaron (Artemis, the goddess of the hunt), and on the other an incredible scene of hunting at court extending over the entire stem and spatula with the pack of dogs (8) and the huntsman encircling a deer. English Title Hallmarks (.925), Hallmark for LONDON 1980 and Hallmark of the prestigious House of Goldsmiths CJ VANDER. This heavy Serving Spoon intended to serve rice (with a spoon less high than a classic ladle) with a fabulous decoration, of remarkable density and quality, is in excellent condition, just the lightest signs of use to note.  A pure marvel to discover through the attached photos...
