Pair Of Enamelled Porcelain Vases With Golden Mounts And Lions Of Fu

A refined pair of globular vases made of enameled porcelain, decorated with rich floral motifs and green oval reserves bearing symbols of prosperity and longevity. The decoration, typical of the Chinese artistic tradition, is developed with bright shades of blue, pink, green and yellow, harmoniously distributed over the entire surface.
The fluted base in brick red enamel culminates in a finely chiselled golden frame. The lids, worked in openwork with floral motifs, are surmounted by golden statuettes depicting Lions of Fu, traditional emblems of protection and imperial power. The quality of the workmanship, the chromatic balance and the attention to detail testify to the mastery of Chinese craftsmen active in the Qing period.
