Rare sculpture by Jean Cocteau (1889-1963) signed and justified by the Madeline-Jolly workshop Listed model depicting a libation cup in pink earth representing a Faun's head marked under the base "Original edition by Jean Cocteau, Madeline-Jolly workshop and justified 16/30 - Beautiful post-cubist composition in a small print run bearing the artist's signature with a star in the decoration. Provenance: purchased in 1958 in the Marie-Madeleine Jolly and Philippe Madeline workshops, potters in Villefranche-sur-mer. Note that one of these copies was given by Jean Cocteau to Jean Marais.
