Polychrome earthenware, marked "when this frigate sails, England will sink" dated 1940 and translated into English on the back. POL, known as Pol Thépot: Pol is said to be the first name of a certain Thépot, a naval officer. His production was notably exported to the United States. He apparently worked for the Henriot factory from 1927 to 1940.
