Large 800/1000 solid silver jug, Art Deco style, made in Germany in the 1920s. With a sober and elegant baluster shape, it has a hinged lid and a wide C-shaped handle with an internal flattened surface. The whole presents a beautiful balance between clean lines and generous volume, in the functional aesthetic of post-war modernism. The piece bears the German hallmarks for 800/1000 silver, with workshop number 796. Very good condition.
