"Achille Bron 1867-1949 (charentaise Crozant Limousin Madeline School)"
Achille Bron new work of the painter representing a vollonnée landscape with a river perhaps in Limousin where he painted a lot with his friend Paul Madeline (Crozant school) Signature at the bottom left work in perfect condition in a patinated wooden frame Delivery 30 euros Achille Bron was born in Crazannes in Charente and he began his studies in Saintes then in Angoulême; then he went to Paris, entered medical school and frequented the Moulin Rouge where he admired Toulouse Lautrec. In 1894 he established himself as a doctor in Taillebourg in Charente Inférieure today Charente Maritime, a profession that he shared with painting since he also exhibited at the Salon des Indépendants and French Artists. In 1912 the Petit Journal cited his works among celebrities such as Laurencin, Metzinger, Picabia, Rassetti etc... Bron also exhibited regularly in the Province. He then met Paul Madeline who gave him some lessons but above all became his best friend, as evidenced by the many works by Madeline or Bron that they dedicated to each other or to their respective wives, they very often painted on the same motifs. However, we know that Bron came very regularly to Haute Vienne, notably to paint the banks of the Vienne or Briance, but we have no proof that he followed Madeline to Creuse. On the other hand, Bron partly adopted Madeline's technique and palette, to the point that their works were sometimes extremely close.
