Round like the moon, this highly original planter is composed of two agate discs set in a gilt bronze frame teeming with lush, chiseled vegetation. Produced by L’Escalier de Cristal (1808-1923), a famous house during the Restoration and well into the first quarter of the 20th century, it displays the Far Eastern influence that made its reputation.

The richness of the bronze contrasts with the smooth, sparkling surface of the semi-precious stone. This elegant object is in perfect condition.
