Signed lower right twice by the artist,
Beautiful work by the Marseille painter Marius MEIFFREN which represents the work in the fields at the start of the day below the village of Allauch in the Bouches du Rhône.
Student of the School of Fine Arts of Marseille, he appeared at the Salon of French Artists in 1899, then in 1926 to 1932. He also participated in the exhibitions of Marseille artists and the Society of Provençal Artists.
He was appointed officer of Public Instruction.
Dimensions: 28.5 x 46.5 cm without frame and 36.5 x 54 cm with its original gilded wood frame.
