Object description :

"Anatole Riecke Pentagonal Futuristic Crystal Vase, Acid Etched "
Anatole Riecke – Glassmaker at La CoupoleAnatole Riecke, a Russian-born glassmaker, created a series of unique pieces for the famous restaurant La Coupole in Paris in the 1930s. There, he created thick glass vases, often square, decorated with incised and colorful geometric patterns. His style, influenced by Cubism and Art Deco, combines clean lines, abstract engravings, and noble materials such as opaline glass or chrome-plated metal. These works, signed "A. Riecke," are highly sought after today for their modernist elegance and their strong connection to a legendary place in artistic Paris.
