Nathalie GOBIN (1964 - 1992), "Homage to Beauty", hst sbg, titled on the back and located in Etampes 58 x 67 cm Nathalie Gobin was born on June 27, 1964 in Bourges. She was a student at the Marguerite-de-Navarre school when she was noticed by her drawing teacher who encouraged her to pursue this path. Advice followed, she began an art history course and at the same time took up painting. In 1983, she became a student of Philippe Lejeune at his school in Étampes, and held her first solo exhibition in 1987. Nathalie Gobin prepared a master's degree in art history, which she obtained in 1988 with honors, the subject being "clouds in Spanish painting, from Greco to Goya, sky and heavens." After being selected, she left for Spain in 1990 to join the 61st artistic promotion of the Casa de Velázquez in Madrid as a resident. Nathalie Gobin committed suicide in Madrid on March 22, 1992.
