He was a pupil of Gérome. He exhibited regularly at the‘Salon Des Artistes Français’ in Paris from 1895,

where he received many awards and medals. In 1907, he received theEugène-Piot Prize.

Finally in 1926 he was appointed ‘Chevalier de la Légion d'honneur’.

His works are exhibited in the museum in Le Mans. Painting, oil on canvas, hand-painted in the 20th century.
