The painter Louis Marchand des Raux born in 1902 died in 2000. Dual vocation of painter and landscaper on the death of the Baroness the Institut de France inherited the villa Ephrussi in St Jean Cap Ferrat and called on him for the redevelopment and maintenance of the gardens of the property. He continued to paint and exhibited his works in numerous galleries on the Côte d'Azur and in Paris. Oil on canvas representing tulips signed lower right.
