Louis-Émile Lassalle, (born November 6, 1811 in Bordeaux and died February 2, 1871 in Paris 9th), was a French painter and lithographer. Louis-Émile is the son of Pierre Lassalle and Jeanne Beaugrand, the husband of Marie-Louise Lamarque, (1811-1874). A pupil of Pierre Lacour, Émile Lassalle frequently exhibited at the Salon, between 1834 and 1869, lithographs of reproductions of genre scenes, portraits and master paintings. In 1845, he made lithographs after drawings by Ernest Goupil for the publication of Voyage au pôle sud et dans l'Océanie on the corvettes l'Astrobale and la Zélée, executed by order of the King during the years 1837 -1838-1839-1840 by Jules Dumont d'Urville.
He obtained a third class medal in 1847 then a first class medal in 1848, followed by recalls in 1857, 1859 and 1861. In 1851, he was for some time editor at 38 rue de la Tour d'Auvergne in Paris. He was made a Knight of the Legion of Honor in 1861. He was buried in the Montmartre cemetery.
