Jean Henri TAYAN, Pond and Landes Forest (Dit Henri TAYAN 1855 – 1931). Oil on canvas, in a sober, period pine wood frame. A beautiful depiction of the Landes landscape and ocean lights, by the famous regionalist painter from Mont de Marsan. Here, a lake on the Landes coast, probably a view of Lake Hossegor, a theme and location often treated by the artist. Made in the 1910s/20s, signed lower right. Canvas and paint layer in good condition. Very slight soiling.
