This radiator mascot "Stork" with low wings in chromed steel, was created in 1919 for Hispano Suiza by Frédéric Bazin (1897-1956) in homage to the "ace of aces" of the First World War, George Guynemer. Mascot signed at the base by Frédéric Bazin, sculptor, ceramicist and engraver. The cap is missing and there is some lack of chrome on a wing see (photo 8) This mascot was intended to adorn the top of automobile radiators when these were visible.
