""art Nouveau" Tea Table, Signed "gallé", Early 20th Century."
This small and charming coffee table bears the 'Japanese' signature of Emile GALLE, in the decoration of the oblong upper top. The lower top is held between the slightly curved and sculpted legs. On both tops the orchid decorations, with their leaves, are inlaid with native woods, on a mahogany background. Under the upper top, a brass plaque bears the name of the Lyon store from which this table came: "Henri BONJOUR et Cie", which took over, in 1900, the business of Honoré Dufin, located at 42-43 Cours de la Liberté. Perfect original condition.
