Charles Olivier De Penne, Hunting Scene, Horses And Hounds Running
Charles Olivier de Penne (1831-1897): the defect, hunting scene Watercolor gouache, signed lower left. Very beautiful hunting scene representing a defect (period when the dogs have lost track of the animal, and which may be irreversible) The scene is complete with several dogs, and two riders on a path. Charles Olivier de Penne is probably the best artist in the field, from the Barbizon school, he had plenty of time to observe the teams in the forest of Fontainebleau throughout his life, and many are the works relating to it, he made it a specialty, and with great success, it is in the largest private collections, as well as in many museums: Senlis, Gien, Montpoupon, etc ...
