Rare Antique German Gunther Heine Doll
Museum quality Rare German Gunther Heine character doll in exceptionally fresh condition originally from the revered Nancy Smith’s collection and subsequently exhibited at the Musée de la Poupée-Paris.
Fully factory original, this character is made of stretched twill over paper mache torso and legs, twill over composition arms, painted twill face with vibrant colors and very minor scuffs on top of the head under her cap.
She has plump cheeks, a closed mouth, beautiful brown painted eyes, well sculpted ears, painted curly hair.
One of the best example from this series!
Gunther Heine was a great competitor to Käthe Kruse active in the same town!
