View of a port in Italy, oil on canvas, dimensions 24 cm x 38 cm, with the period frame in carved wood, 33 cm x 47 cm, attributed to Henry d'Arles Jean Henry known as Henry d'Arles is a French painter born in Arles on September 14, 1734 and died in Marseille on September 14, 1784, He had Joseph Vernet as his master and will be very influenced by this famous painter. He stayed two years in Rome to perfect himself in the art of painting, he returned from Italy at the full maturity of his talent with the nickname of Henry d'Arles. In 1755 he was approved at the Academy of Painting and received in 1756 with his painting "A Storm" (Museum of Fine Arts of Marseille)
