This large pair of Japanese porcelain lamps is mounted on a square gilt bronze base in a classic Napoleon III style.
The decoration of these lamps presents the characteristics of the genre called brocade, two large reserves located on the belly, are painted, one is painted with an interior scene with three characters of the Japanese aristocracy and the other represents a luxuriant decoration of flowering plants and foliage and a pair of very graceful cranes. The polychrome decoration and the gilding have retained all their freshness.
