Pair Of Hepplewhite Style George England Polychrome Painted Lemonwood Chairs
Pair of solid lemon wood chairs, enhanced with polychrome paintings decorated with garlands of flowers and an antique vase also containing a bouquet of flowers on the backs.
Quite rare in France, these chairs are in the style of George Hepplewhite's furniture (1727-1786)*, our chairs bear a stenciled mark underneath: René Gérard 17 rue Bleue, probably Parisian address.
The wood is very beautiful, with a very warm tint.
Good condition, no play.
