Rare gilt silver pyramidal sword mount with carved gilt triangular recesses framing a chevron bordered with niello on each side, good condition. Found in the northern Netherlands in late 2024. The function of the pyramidal mounts is still uncertain, but it seems likely that they were used to help hold the sword in the scabbard.

Dimensions: width 13 mm.
