28 Books Circa 1930 On The Navy: Library Of A Former Officer Of The 2nd Tabor
A rare set of books from the personal collection of a former French officer who served in, among other units, the 2nd and 16th Moroccan Tabor Groups. He had these various works bound in beautiful half-leather bindings with four raised bands and tan leather corners, in octavo format (approximately 22.5 cm x 15 cm). These books deal with the French Navy. They bear the handwritten signature of Officer Jean Giraud, as well as the location and date of his presence at the time of purchase (Berteaux Military Camp in Morocco, Smyrna, Casablanca, and Toulon, between the 1920s and 1940s). The titles are visible in the group photos. Collection: "Collection of Memoirs, Studies, and Documents for the History of the World War."
"Historical Library" "The Third Republic from 1870 to the Present Day" 1 Bound volume containing 2 volumes by Marc Benoist (The French Navy and Foreign Navies). I am selling the set as a single volume. The set is in very good condition with numerous illustrations and fold-out maps.
