Very beautiful polychrome terracotta statue of Saint Colette of Corbie - 19th century in perfect condition. Original polychromy. Lots of expression in the eyes, This statue is imbued with great serenity. Saint Colette, Nicolette Boellet, was born in Corbie in Picardy, on January 13, 1381, She died on March 6, 1447 in Ghent in Flanders. She reformed the order of the Poor Clares and certain male convents of the Franciscan order. She was beatified in 1740 and canonized in 1807. Shipping costs outside the EU on estimate.
