Great great nephew of Marshal of the Empire Emmanuel de Grouchy (1766-1847). Coat of arms of the Grouchy family. Branch called "Roberto" which only bears the arms visible on this coat of arms (i.e. 3 green sinoples on a white background) unlike the other branches which bear them with the mesh of Azure and gold. Oil on mahogany panel in very good original condition: 100x73. Monogrammed and dated 1894 by the Polish painter André Georges MNISZECH (1823-1905).
